If the structure reliability of the existing masonry arch-bridges is analyzed and its current and future reliability level on bearing capacity is presented, it will profit the highway development and administration department in making an economic and reasonable decision on the maintenance of the masonry arch-bridges.In this dissertation, the structure bearing capacity reliability of the ecardinal masonry arch-bridge is researched by Structure Reliability Theory and its reliability assessment model on bearing capacity is established. The system reliability analysis method of masonry arch-bridge is presented based on the failure model of arch rib, which is the most important failure model of masonry arch-bridge.Based on the collapse tests of actual and model stone bridges in home and foreign countries, Shitouhe Bridge as an example to research the limit states of masonry arch bridges and determine four-hinge collapse model and the method of determining plastic hinges. This method can give convenience to the calculation of reliability. Based on the stress-strain relationship, tests, no tensile stress of masonry and assuming resistance submit gauss distribution, the resistance equations and its statistic parameters are obtained. At last, based on JC method, the reliability of cross sections can be calculated, and based on incremental load to research the main fail model, the arch system fail probability is obtained.
