Structure Strength Research Of Stiffened Cylinder Shell Based On ANSYS

Prism shell is a type of the shell comprised by the shell with different curvatures. If the shell is strengthed by transverse or longitudinal stiffeners, the structure is called strengthened prism shell. The strengthened prism shell is widely used in engineering. Strengthened prismatic shell method and FEM software ANSYS are used to analyze the stiffened pressure hull in naval architectureAt first, in order to avoid the defect of existing strength analysis methods for strengthened shell, the Dirac function is adopted to describe the geometry characteristic and position of stiffeners. Based on stiffened prismatic shell method, the displacement compatible condition is used to assemble the force in shell surface and stiffeners. Then the static differential equation for transversely and longitudinally strengthened prism shell is deduced. At last the solving method is introduced simply, and the FORTRAN program is developed to get the solution.Secondly elastic-plastic response of stiffened pressure hull to non-contact explosive pressure is discussed. Some experience formulas are used to show the bow wave load on shell surface. And the numerical simulation is made through FEM software ANSYS. Then the transient elastic-plastic response of shell and stiffeners under bow wave load are gotten.At last, taking some non-contact stiffened pressure hull as examples, stiffened prismatic shells method is used to calculate the stress distribution of stiffened shell under uniform pressure. The results are compared with that of FEM method to valid the reliability of stiffened prismatic shell method.
