With the development of the automobile industry, car tyre,the requirement for the performance of car tyre has become increasingly high. Abrasion is a main factor which influence the lifespan of tyre. The resistant performance of tyre has a direct effect on driving mileage. Abnormal wear may lead to earlier scrappe of tyre and suprising money losses as well. Besides, abnormal wear could lead to blow up, thus threates safety drive.This paper is based on the purpose of eliminating abnormal wear of tyre, mainly concerns about the classification, structure, the development direction of tyres, tyre wear theory, the abnormal tyre wear the main form of tyre wear at home and abroad of the status quo, biaxial to the vehicle structure and to principles of the vehicle front.wheel shimmy mechanism And classification system of the vehicle to self.Shimmy Shimmy and forced the relationship.This kind of abrasion is different from partial abrasion which caused by improper match of wheel locating parameters. When the locating parameters are matched improperly, the abrasion part of left and right wheels on the same shaft is at inside or outside. The reason is that the left and right wheels will slide to the same direction or opposite direction when they are rolling. When the front and rear shaft of double.front axle car guiding not at the same position, the abrasion parts of left and right on the same directing shaft are at one side, but the partial abrasion of wheel on the front and rear directing shaft is at opposite position.This paper analyzes the tyre abrasion that caused by front wheel shimmy of a kind of heavy truck. For example: analyze evaluate the action flexible degree of space state of direction turning system of exist car; test the action state of direction turning system; measurement for front wheel locating parameters; test and analyze for vibration characteristic of direction turning system; test and anallyze for brake force balance of wheel; test for action gap of direction turning system; test for shimmy situation after exchanging different direction turning machine and drawbars; test and research for the improved direction turning system, and thus get the direct reasons for tyre abrasion.Finally, this paper analyzes tyre abrasion from aspects of wheel location and other parameters, and concludes that the following aspects are the main factors which causes tyre abrasion: out inclined angle of wheel, size of front beam angle and matched qualitty, tyre structure, charge air pressure, load of wheel, speed, rubber performance of tyre surface and the condition of road surface.
