The importance of parameter identification and adaptation of an induction motor has been realized, since the vector control theory appeared in the 1970s. With the development of power electronics, microelectronics technique and inverter control method, it becomes the choke point to improve the AC speed modulation system's performance that we solve the parameter identification problem successfully. Many researches on that have been carried out, and get some achievement but not enough.Foundation on the work of predecessors, the dissertation deducts the mathematics descriptions of an induction motor which are applicable to Least-square algorithm and derived from the state equation in two-axis stationary reference frame, considering the different operation conditions. The concrete scheme of RLS algorithm is designed to realize the motor self-commissioning, and the on-line parameter identification strategy of induction motor is either included. All of the methods inferring are described as simple as possible, and check the actual effects by DSP technique. Compared with other identification methods, the most prominent merit of self-commissioning method proposed in this paper is reflected in identifying all parameters needed at one time, under the premise of unchanging the hardware structure and no requirement for rotor speed. As a comparison, the author makes an experiment for measuring the parameters step by step, and also analyses both of merits and defects. In this paper, abundant simulation results have proved exactness of the theory, and plenteous analysis of influencing factors has also advanced the generalization of the scheme. At last, integrative testing experiments indicate the method's feasibility.
