This paper presents a method, adding CuO powders to BaTiO3-based PTC ceramics as the first adding or the second adding, inorder to find out the effect of the CuO on the synthetic electronic properties of the BaTiO3-based PTC ceramics.In this article, the added mechanical and introduced mean of the CuO , the effects of the CuO content on the curie temperature, room-temperture resistivity, PTC effect of the BaTiO3-based PTC ceramics were discussed. By means of R-T curve test the data of electronic properties and so on, matter phase were researched based on which the parameters of the experiment and the processing condition were manipulated. Beside, this paper particularly discusses the effect of the Sb2O3 content on the BaTiO3-based PTC ceramics which contain CuO.Through completing all experiment and analyzing work above, the related regularities of adding CuO to the BaTiO3-based PTC ceramics were detected, and through these related regularities, the electronic properties of the samples were improved.
