Wind energy is renewable and clean, so wind power is an important means for relieving current energy shortage and environmental pressure in China. At present, our country is still at lower level on the primary technology of designing wind turbines, especially for the supporting structure systems of offshore wind turbines, our design resting on the traditional offshore supporting structure systems as a result of lacking adequate engineering practice and mature standards for reference. Based on the present research status of the supporting structure systems design of wind turbines in our country, the thesis mainly focuses on the following problems by means of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.(1)According to different environmental conditions and load conditions of onshore and offshore regions , the article deeply studies on structure forms for upper tower frames and lower foundations of wind turbine and offers its design keypoints;(2)It researches on the load system of wind turbines and makes an exhaustive study on the calculation methods for different environmental load;(3)Aiming at the characteristics of onshore wind turbines , especially considering the influence of lower foundation, the article makes static analysis , fatigue analysis , stability analysis , dynamic characteristics and dynamic response analysis on the supporting structure systems of onshore wind turbines by finite element method;(4)As the first thesis to research on the supporting structure system- tension leg platform (TLP) for floating offshore wind turbines in China, the article makes a study on the structure design for tension leg platform .Besides, it makes numerical analysis on the stress, strain and stability of tension leg platform by finite element method and makes a deep research on the structural natural vibration characteristics and dynamic response with wave load by fluid-solid coupling method. The study of the paper reveals the static and dynamic working characteristics of the supporting structure systems for onshore and offshore wind turbines under different environmental conditions. Its conclusions can offer important references to the supporting structure system design of wind turbines.
