Aiming at the soft paper-based battery, every property of the base membrane, the zinc electrode, the MnO2 electrode and the whole battery is systematically researched in this thesis. Every electrochemical property is tested under different process conditions and different testing parameters; the optimum process condition is determined by comparing the test results.In the research of the zinc electrode, the effects of the proportion the base membrane, the deposition current density, the scan rate of the liner CV scan and the current density of the constant current discharge on the electrochemical properties are studied. The conclusion is that: properly increasing the conductive material proportion and the current density of the electrodeposition, is beneficial to improve the electrochemical properties of the zinc electrode. the conclusion that the voltage of the oxidation peak is more positive and the peak current is bigger under the higher scan rate is drawn by comparing the liner CV scan results under different scan rates; by comparing discharge curves under different discharge current densities, the conclusion is that the discharge voltage of the zinc electrode is decreased; the discharge time of the zinc electrode is reduced; the discharge capacity of the zinc electrode is diminished, when the zinc electrode is discharged under the bigger current density.The MnO2 electrode is prepared by the following two methods: directly preparation of the membrane and potentiostatic method. The effects of the proportion of the membrane, the size of the pallet and the electrolyte on the performance on the MnO2 electrode are investigated. The conclusion is that: properly increasing the conductive material proportion, in particular to the hydrophilic carbon, prolonging the grinding time, are both in favor of improving the electrochemical properties; the conclusion that the electrochemical activity is higher in alkaline electrolyte is drawn, by comparing test results in different electrolytes. The conclusion is that: theγ-MnO2 nano film is deposited on the paper-base membrane by the method of the potentiostatic, by comparing the open circuit voltage, the CV test and the SEM test result between the base membrane and the deposited membrane. The conclusion that the electrochemical performance of the MnO2 electrode is better deposited under higher deposition voltage is drawn, by comparing the test results of the MnO2 electrode electrodeposited under different deposition voltages.The conclusion by studying the whole battery is that: the properties of the batteries composed of the MnO2 electrode made by the method of directly preparation of membrane is better, the properties of the batteries composed of the electrodepositon MnO2 electrode is worse.
