The sea-water source heat pump technology has been paid great attention to in the coastal regions because of its energy-saving, environment protection and operation stability and so on. The sea-water source heat pump air conditioning system has been used for the office building in Tianjin Port's 300,000-ton oil dock. Considering the seawater corrosion and halobios adhesions, we adopt heat exchanger to transfer building heat or cold to seawater. The seawater doesn't go into the heat exchanger, but exchanges the energy with glycol liquor which comes from the heat pump unit. To design a kind of heat exchanger with the characteristic of high efficiency and great economic value will beneficially extent the sea-water source heat pump in our country's littoral.This paper designs a heat exchanger of new type according to its anti-corrosion, heat exchanger and resistance characteristic in the sea-water source heat pump system.The research works in this paper focus mainly on the following five aspects.(1) the choice of the heat exchanger's structure: Because of the corrosion and dirt, the heat exchanger must withstand the corrosion, and must be easy to be cleaned. Finally It is decided to apply the open-in form.(2) the calculation about the heat exchanger: Via the empirical formula, the preliminary calculation was firstly carried out to design a heat exchanger model for 4kW.(3) the machining and experiment of the heat exchanger model: The seawater goes into the heat exchanger directly but not into the unit in both winter and summer. Due to the limitation, this thesis carries through the experiment testing in winter only. The experiment contents include mainly: the heat exchanger coefficient's change discipline through altering the fluxes of seawater but holding the glycol's; and the discipline when altering of the flow resistance in the pipe in the same seawater flow but different glycol fluxes.(4) Through the exerimental data, the exchanger discipline outside the pipe and the resistance characteristics in the pipe have been finished.(5) To find out the heat exchanger's economical velocity of flow in this works,and to figure out its configuration. Tianjin Port area is rich in seawater, and the use of seawater-source heat pump has a reliable technical support. The heat exchanger can be a good intermediate solution of the corrosion of sea water. It can be conveniently washed and has good effect of heat transfer. The subject of theoretical and experimental results provides a reliable basis for the heat exchanger's application like this sea-water heat pump systems in the Tianjin Port and coastal.
