With the development of social economic, energy consumption has increased gradually. China, the world's second-largest energy consumer, several times the unit GDP energy consumption to developed countries, mainly caused by the unreasonable economic structure. Under the premise of energy reduction the ground source heat pump industry also begin to flourish. But the research of the ground source heat pump backfilled with phase change materials is in the blank. Phase change materials have many advantages. Theoretically, when they are filled to the wells they can use their phase change latent heat to improve the ground source heat pump's heating capacity significantly. But its low thermal obstructs the heat conduction between water and soil. This paper analyses data which measured by experiment and theoretical analysis of the ground source heat pump backfilled with phase change materials. Two parts of theoretical analysis about the heat storage capacity and heat conduction capacity of the heat pump were conducted in this paper. At last, it comes to a conclusion proved by specific data that the ground source heat pump backfilled with phase change materials can improve the ground source heat pump's heating capacity significantly.
