With the rapid development of wind power,the capacity of the wind power integrated to the grid is more and more lager.It has great value to the relay setting and transient stability of the grid for doing some research on the short circuit current characteristic of wind generators and their Low voltage ride through capability.First,the principle and models of asynchronous and Doubly-fed wind generators are studied and their transient characteristics are analyzed.Then,the short circuit current of both the asynchronous and Doubly-fed wind generators are deduced and analyzed.Based on the analysis,their effect on the current relay is also studied and proper measures are proposed.All the results are proved in practical grid through simulation.Then,Low voltage ride through of wind generators are studied.Control measures of using crowbar to realize LVRT of Doubly-fed wind generator are analyzed in detail.
