AC-AC matrix converters(MC) hold good potentialities in AC drive systems owing to its unity power factor,without the omission of DC segment,and sinusoidal input currents.Permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) has been widely applied in many fields with its simple structure,high power density and fast dynamics.The evolution of direct torque control(DTC) technology has enabled PMSM to possess much better performance and become the preference in modern drive systems.Therefore,using MC to realize the DTC for PMSM is an optimum combination,and it has important significance.In the present paper,the equivalent structure of the AC-DC-AC conversion is analyzed.Then the AC-AC direct transformation control rule of MC is deduced by adopting the dual space vector control strategy of MC,which is combined output line voltage space vector modulation and input phase current space vector modulation. This method meets the demand of input sinusoidal current and output sinusoidal voltages.The input side positive and negative power factor angle is adjusted arbitrary. Harmonic is suppressed in a degree.The strategy is advanced in the future.Based on analyzing the structure and characteristic of PMSM,its mathematic models are set up and the basic principle of DTC for PMSM is analyzed.The basic principle of MC-DTC is introduced,which is used as a novel method of adjusting speed to control the PMSM fed by MC.This AC timing system is named the nonpolluting and green system.The model of DTC for PMSM based on MC is taken with MATLAB/ SIMULINK based on the study of theory,and the experiment equipment is devised.
