With the coming of digitized information and network era,a new engineering field is merging:Intelligent Transportation system(ITS),which can solve the traffic congestion and air pollutions.ITS,a modern intelligent traffic management system, reforms traditional traffic information and management system by technologies like advanced electronics,information and communication technologies.Traffic navigation is one of important parts of ITS.Navigation data refers to the geographical data with a unified technical standard,which provides guidance for traffic participants and navigation information for the subsystems of the intelligent transportation system.During the inquiry,it usually has the lack of effective information problem,such as:users cannot exactly express the inquiry intention and system is unable to provide the relevant information such as with the same semanteme. That hampers navigation data in intelligent transportation system application further developing.Firstly,this paper analyzes the ontology and the transportation ontology,and then thinks that establishing a uniform standard navigation data is one of the effective methods to solve the above problem.So the paper introduces the ontology technology to describe navigation data fields' concept and relationship,and establishes an ontology database of the transportation navigation data field,which can realize the uniform communication standard between people to application and application to application,and can improve the service quality of the navigation data retrieval.Secondly,based on analyzing the common ontology query language SPARQL, and combining the characteristics and demands of the transportation navigation data, the paper puts forward two kinds of semantic query optimization methods based on the SPARQL and describes the optimization methods by the SPARQL.Finally,through studying the key implementation technologies of the semantic query,the paper uses the open resources design tools Jean provided by the HP LABS to design and realize the transportation navigation data semantic query system based on the domain ontologies.This system provides the semantic query service about the intelligent transportation navigation data.Through it,the results which meet not only the query forms and grammar but also the semantic content can be searched.Compared with the former query method based on the key word,it has more recall ratio and precise.
