The research background of this paper is active vibration control of aircraft wing structure. Due to the complexity of the aircraft wing structure,it's quite difficult to establish model and make analytical research.With appropriate simplification,this paper firstly makes research of active vibration control of cantilever beam to reduce the research difficulty.Research on active vibration control of piezoelectric smart structures is a research focus on active vibration control.In order to overcome the manufacturing difficulties,brittlement, low efficiency and other disadvantages of traditional piezoelectric actuator,this paper introduces a new type of piezoelectric smart actuator,Macro Fiber Composite(MFC),and studies the active vibration control of LaRC-MFC actuator,with flexible cantilever beam as controlled object.As a new type of piezoelectric actuators,it's very necessary to carry out reliability study for the LaRC-MFC actuator.The results show that only a slight degradation in amplitude was seen over 10 million electrical cycles,which presents preliminary proof of high endurance of LaRC-MFC actuator.In the research of active vibration control based on LaRC-MFC actuator,firstly,the modal analysis of cantilever beam is carried out to analyze different order modal vibration characteristic of cantilever beam in a specific frequency range by means of finite element analysis with ANSYS.Then a suitable interpolation algorithm for the hysteretic characteristic of LaRC-MFC actuator was found to reduce this effect of the hysteretic characteristic of LaRC-MFC actuator on the control effect with the coupling relationship between the actuator and the cantilever beam by experiment.At last,positive position feedback(PPF) controller was designed by study on the principle of positive position feedback method.Based on the above mentioned research,an experimental system is designed and control procedure is composed for active vibration control of LaRC-MFC actuator.The experiments have made successful to reduce different order modal vibration of cantilever beam and achieve good efficient in vibration suppression.
