In our country, the ruts on the asphalt pavement are one of the major problems in the area of high-grade highway, which have severely affected the safety and comfort of drive on the road, so the research on the method of estimating the asphalt pavement ruts of our high-grade highway has its socio-economic effects. At present the most frequently-used method of ruts calculation is based on the layer strain and visco-elastic theory. But because the layer strain employs linear elastic theory, it can't estimate the ruts accurately. While in the visco-elastic estimating model, it can't describle the plastic deformation when the asphalt mixture is under the influence of temperature and loading rate, which makes the ruts estimation deviate. The ruts on the asphalt pavement are made of the irrestored viscous deformation and plastic deformation. If you want to estimate the ruts accurately, you need to set up non-linear visco-elastic-plastic constitutuve model. This paper relies on the National Natural Project (E50678183) "the ruts of the asphalt pavement based on the travelling force", and uses the principles of rheology and the techniques of dynamic finite element to complete the following work.1. To clarify the mechanism made by the phenomenon of asphalt pavement ruts , to analyze the main influencing factors and controlling indicators ,and the deformation characteristics of asphalt mixture ,to study the impact of developing trends made by various factors and indicators.2. Through the analysis of the strenghs and weaknesses in the description of the asphalt mixture where the visco-elastic rheological constitutive model, elasto-plastic constitutive model and visco-elastic-plastic constitutive model are made, to find out visco-elastic-plastic constitutive model which not only can describe the deformation characteristics of asphalt mixture but can easily determine its parameters and be able to facilitate the numerical caculation.3. Based on Burges Viscoelastic Constitutive Model for the calculation of the rut: employing the dynamic creep to test the parameters of the constitutive model, and to study the Prony series method of calculating when the constitutive model convet into ANSYS viscoelastic parameters, adopting ANSYS Theory analyzed the role of the number of axle load, temperature, overloading of Asphalt Pavement Rutting deformation. Based on the Johnson-Cook's calculation of viscoplastic constitutive model for the rut: adopting the uniaxial compression test to determine JC viscoplastic model parameters, and to study the input methods of the model parameters in the ANSYS.use the theory of ANSYS Transient Dynamic to analyze the number of axis Load and the effects of asphalt pavement Rutting deformation made by overloading. The experimental results show that using half-sine load vehicle dynamic load model and dynamic experiment which are based on the theory of random load can better simulate Asphalt Pavement Rutting effect bade by traveling load. Based on the Burges viscoelastic constitutive model and the Johnson-Cook viscoplastic this constitutive model of the track are calculated and analyzed the role of the number of axle load, temperature, overloading of Asphalt Pavement Rutting deformation, consistent with the Asphalt Pavement Rutting deformation of the actual situation.
