Earthquake damage is paying being close attention to increasingly of tunnels and underground. Underground structures has better seismic characteristics than the ground structure, under the Earthquake. However, the seismic performance of the typical parts and weak links of the tunnel are often not guaranteed. In this paper the summary of worldwide typical instances of tunnels behavior during earthquake and research developments & methods is briefly described, the character- ristics regarding the tunnel damages during earthquake and classification are summed up, the damage mechanism of action from earthquake is described too. It Studied the implementation of method of earthquake input and artificial boundary in finite element software. Based on the data of Menglian tunnel which is situated on the highway ofBao-Teng in Yunnan , ANSYS compute Software is used to study the seismic responses and the anti-seismic and vibration-absorption measures of typical parts and weak links in the tunnel.The analysis and summary are summarized as following:(1) This paper was analyzed the relationship between seismic and compactness, area of grouting reinforcement of surrounding rock in the karst region.It was obtained seismic dynamic response of tunnels in the karst region,and given a reasonable compactness and area of grouting reinforcement.(2) Discussing the reinforced length of the tunnel entrance's structure which is the emphasis for anti-seismic analysis, based on internal force response, acceleration distribution and lining cracking.(3) This paper was analyzed dynamic response of the weak links in tunnel section ,such as the emergency parking place and transverse traffic tube.(4) This paper, aiming at the typical parts and weak links of tunnels, puted forward recommendations to strengthen measures. It may provides reference for earthquake resistant design of tunnel.
