Nowadays,traditional methods of railway detection are facing more and more challenges from the construction of high-speed,heavy haul railway line,particularly from the request on detection of the deformation and settlement of subgrade.It needs a long-term detection on the deformation and settlement of subgrade to maintain the subgrade that does not meet the requirement.Law of the deformation and settlement of subgrade is also studied.This paper is based on the "Study on Omni-directional and Real-time monitoring technology of the Subgrade Settlement of Passenger Dedicated Line".The main content of this article is the study on Automatic measurement of subgrade settlement.After taking a comprehensive understanding of domestic and overseas publications,this paper optimizes the CCD detection system,and gives a design on the optical system.It also presents some research on the signal acquisition system and data processing methods. All the ideas have been proved through the experiment.The analysis shows that the using of CCD on subgrade settlement detection can meet the requirement of the 863 item.
