Reinforced Concrete construction presently takes the major part in the field of constructing in China. With the time elapsing, aged buildings will face many problems such as safety and reliability of reinforced concrete structure, which has been paid attention to in civil engineering area. In China, test, appraisal and reinforcement research of structure damage of reinforced concrete started late. Current assessing standards of safety and reliability of reinforced concrete structure are not perfect. Therefore, it is very necessary to make a further study on test and safety appraisal and reinforcement of reinforced concrete structure.The article expounds the test details of reinforced concrete structure and points out that non-destructive testing is an ideal way of evaluating the quality of reinforced concrete structure. It also presents testing measures of the concrete strength, limitation, carbonization degree, rusting degree of reinforcing steel bar, and structure distortion and cracking in details.The general assessment of structure safety of reinforced concrete structure has provided scientific foundation for concrete reinforcement. The article will explain the safety appraisal of structural components of reinforced structure from four parts: structural component carrying capability, construction, joint and distortion respectively. Then it will use the concept of'force transferring chain'to introduce the appraisal measures of integral safety of reinforced concrete structure.Reinforcement is an effective way of improving the structural safety, decreasing accidents, prolonging the life of concrete structure. With the analysis of stress characteristics of reinforced structure and co-working effect of reinforced components and original framework, the article probes into the working process of structure reinforcing. It also introduces reinforcement technology of reinforced concrete structure in details and brings forward optimum decision of reinforcement measures, which is based on the fuzzy optimum measures of fuzzy sets.The article based on the reconstructing reinforcement project'Shangrila Hotel, Chenzhou, Hunan Province'is trying to analyze the appraisal of structural system and reinforcement and reconstruction. With the whole evaluating of property of structural materials, structure construction, structure system and defects, the article has discussed stress status, stress characteristics and bearing stratum capacity. It has also adopted Ansys Programme to assess the structure system of reinforced structures. With the analysis, structure intensity and stiffness of reinforced structure can meet the standards. The practice shows that the reinforcement and reconstruction of structures system can produce benefits economically and socially. The appraisal measures and reinforcement ways have certain reference values for similar projects.
