With the continuous development the social economy, the forklift truck is frequently employed in ports, stations, warehouses, and architecture industries, etc. The noise produced in running causes much harm to human and environment. In the developing of the industry of the forklift truck, the criteria for the comfort and noise control are becoming stricter. The western criteria for vehicles impose a minimum of noise. As a result, the noise has become a significant standard to judge the quality of the diesel forklift truck and the technical vallum from launching the European and American markets.This thesis focuses on the study of the 3-ton diesel forklift truck. Adopting analyses and experiments, it detects and sorts the outside noise of certain 3-ton diesel forklift trucks. Then it will make clear the object of improvement. After the identification of the noise sources, the factors influencing the noise, which are mainly in the intake system and exhaust system. Utilizing the de-noising technique, it proposes pointed and rational noise-control measures against several noise sources, which would give some references to the next designs of the low-noise forklift truck.
