CCHP system is a user-oriented small- and medium-sized energy system supplying different kinds of secondary energy according to the demand of users.It is an important direction of development for CCHP to combine with renewable energy.Basing on the thought of complementary utilization of solar energy and fossil energy,intermediate-low temperature solar energy utilization is integrated with CCHP system organically and a CCHP system based on methanol decomposition is proposed in this paper.From the principle of"Cascade utilization of chemical exergy and physical exergy"and "Combination of renewable energy and fossil fuel",the ideas and characteristics of the CCHP system with the integration of solar energy and methanol thermo-chemistry were expounded.The new system can raise the energy utilization efficiency of the intermediate-low temperature solar system in existence and partly saves on fossil energy. Simulation of the system was done in the Aspen plus after a system model structured.To find out causes of the energy-saving feature,performance of the system was assessed with some of the most commonly used CCHP system evaluation methods.Economy of the system was studied after choosing proper equipments for the subsystems.A pair of experimental device for the parabolic trough solar collector and a receiver/reactor was designed.The simulation of the system was improved with the key process experiment.
