With the rapid increasement of the energy consuming and worsening of ecosystem environment,many countries around the world are looking for a kind of sustainable developing new energy without pollution positively.The wind energy arrests the people's attention all over the world because of it's advantages of clean, high-efficient ,non-polluted and short work cycle. With the development of wind power technology and the implementation of the policy encouragement, wind power industry has gotten an unprecedented development.As know, in such a high-power application of wind power, voltage source converter(VSC) evokes more attention than current source converter(CSC).At present,the application of high-power converter is mainly VSC. However,with breakthrough progress of superconductor technology at home and abroad, the CSC is becoming one of the research focuses. This dissertation will focus on the voltage source and current source converter technology in wind power technology .Firstly,this dissertation introducs the significance and state of domestic and foreign research of wind power, as well as the basic principles and main features. Then it focus the research on the current converter technology of wind power, including voltage source and current source converter.Established the mathematical model under the abc coordination and synchronous orthogonal dq frame of the converters. Elaborated the principles and implementation method of the the voltage space vector modulation technology and the tri-logic space vector modulation technique of CSC .Then, this dissertation applies the two converter in permanent magnet direct-driven wind power system. And two kind of the control strategy are presented correspondingly. Simultaneously simulation of the VSC proposed in this paper is made by using Matlab/Sinulink, it has achieved good simulation results which demonstrated the system can capture the maximum wind energy and transmit energy,keep the frequency consistent with the electricity grid and achieve unity power factor in power transmission.Finally, hardware structure, some of the hardware circuit and software processes are designed based on VSC control system. It expects to be helpful to the future research work.
