With the development of society and transportation,the width of the road is getting larger and larger.The main routes in the general is 40 ~ 50 m in width. For 40 ~ 50 m span of a single-span steel girder bridges, the first-order vibration frequency offen cannot meet our criterion that the vertical vibration frequency of foot-bridges should be not less than 3Hz.The first-order vibration frequency follow the normal pedestrian's frequency proximately, easy resonance, impact the structural safety of normal use, in addition, vibration might exceed the limit of humancomfort. Pedestrians psychological feel panic.The vertical vibration frequency of the structure reflecting structural dynamic characteristics of natural,It depends on the quality of itself and strong,so,increasing the stiffness and decreasing the quality is one method to improve the frequency .For steel box beam structure,by increasing the thickness of the steel plate to improve the stiffness of structure is not a good method,the effect is not obvious.if improved the stiffness by increasing height of the beam and reduceing the thickness of steel plate,the stability will bring local. Using TMD to reduce the amount of vibration of the flyover would be a good solution.After the installation of TMD, the vibration response will be greatly reduced to meet the requirements of comfort.TMD can easily install in both the building flyovers and builded pedestrian bridge. For vibration control of builded pedestrian bridge, TMD will have greater advantages. So it is great prospects for the application and popularization that TMD control the vibration of steel pedestrian bridge. Based on a 49-meter-steel pedestrian bridge example, Participate in vibration comfort control of TMD is studied, work and research as follows :1. According to the characteristics of the pedestrian load,we studied he pedestrian load model,and analysed abroad standard about the footbridge vibration comfort and their evaluation methods.2. According to the moving load bring vibration theory of the beam,Using MATLAB language evaluate the vibration comfort of bridge.3. Derived when in mobile harmonic load, the motion equations of equilibrium system of TMD and simply-supported bridge system coupling,MTMD and simply-supported bridge system coupling.4. For the motion equations of equilibrium system of TMD and simply-supported bridge system coupling,MTMD and bridge system coupling,Using Newmark algorithm,Through MATLAB computer language writing program Numerical in time domain. To the bridge,wo studied the vibration control after add STMD and five TMD.5. Simplifing the design method about using TMD to control simply-supported footbridge vibration comfort.
