More and more attentions are paid to three-phase voltage unbalance factor of power system. Traction loads of electric railways are paid importance as special asymmetric loads. The research about the measure arithmetic and calculation of traction loads'three-phase voltage unbalance factor are also deeper and deeper.Based on the research of power quality criterions both at home and abroad, power quality measurement methods of present national criterions are detailed and advices and new measurement methods are proposed according to the simulation results and spot data analysis combining the characteristic of electric traction loads. The calculation for asymmetrical failures in unbalance factor of electrified railway, and phase component should be chosen; at last, phase co-ordinate representation of traction loads of electric railways is deduced. Through simulation results in PSCAD its validity is confirmed.
