The governing equations including the three-dimension Reynolds time-averaged Navier-Stokes equation and Realizable k ?εmodel are applied in present paper. The three-dimensional internal flow characteristics and aerodynamics features for the type of OB-84 axial flow fan with rear blades are simulated in full flow passage. Based on simulated results agreeing with experimental results in normal conditions, the abnormal conditions of installation angles deviating from design values, including the single blade, dual abutting blades, dual alternating blades and triple alternating blades are investigated. The characteristics of aerodynamics and fan output with the different adjustable blades and installation angles are discussed, and the performance curves for the axial flow fan are given and compared with those of normal conditions. The present paper provides theoretical guidance and data for better operating of similar type fans.
