It is importance to the stability of steel structures, welding I-beams with web design is usually high and thin, so that the critical buckling load of the web is very small, the current steel design specifications in determining the ultimate bearing capacity, they generally will be components .The plate pieces of the overall stability and local stability are considered separately, and the newly revised "Code for Design of Steel Structures" (GB50017-2003) on the web-beam welders critical buckling stress and the calculation of the local stability of the larger changes made to increase the beam web to consider post-buckling strength of the relevant provisions of the design. However, there is no specification to introduce the overall stability of post-buckling web content, web buckling of steel would affect the overall stability, the extent of impact and not ripe to introduce the literature.
