The deformation and cracking problems of silos have happened in practical production, and severity engineering collapsing accidents have ever occurred. Deformation, cracking and vibration phenomenon have appeared in raw coal silo of a thermal power plant. These problems are associated with the pressure of inter-particles and the flow state when discharge. The dynamic stress of the raw coal silo wall and distribution network of interior granular material pressure in the process of discharge from raw coal silo are simulated with distribute element method in order to reveal the immanence mechanism of macroscopic distortion and cracking of the raw coal silo.Different factors such as friction coefficient of internal particle, friction coefficient between granule and wall, granule viscosity, ratio of diameter to high of raw coal silo, inclination of coal hopper, the shape of coal hopper on the impact of discharge flow is simulated and studied.Simulation results show that normal direction stress is larger than tangential cutter head stress on shell with whole flow state.Viscosity of raw coal and the shape of hopper are two most important factors for flow state when discharge.
