In recent years,reinforced earth as a composed structure which is made up of filling, drawstring,face bricks,has been widely used in highway and water transport,water conservancy,railways and other kinds of civil engineering of supporting structures,and obtained very extensive economic,social and environmental benefits.At present,by various means every country engineering and academics,to constantly reinforced structure characteristic and failure mechanism of the study.But the mechanics properties of various materials in different situations in reinforced earth,and interaction characteristic in different situations,have not been studied,even very vague.Based on the present research,and by the theoretical analysis and experimental research,the characteristics of reinforced earth structures and mechanism were analyzed. In order to more widely and more effective use of the structure,research on the mechanical properties of reinforced structures under loads is very necessary.Based on the results of triaxial compression test,in different reinforced scheme and confining pressure,the stress-strain behaviors and carrying capacity of reinforced earth are studied,and influence factors of reinforced earth are analyzed.Experiment and theoretical results show the strength of reinforced earth increased with layers of reinforcement In the designated reinforced geogrid layers,best reinforced location,the deformation failure models of the reinforced earth and shear resistance mechanism of geogrid are researched.By experiment,with the increase of reinforced geogrid,its strength and deformation resistance capability of reinforced earth are enhanced.The characteristics of reinforced soil can obviously improve.And there are two different kinds models of tensile failure and glued destroy,When the tensile failure,a strain curve for softening type,the geogrid only increase the cohesion of soil;when the friction failure,its strain curve is Cohesion type,not only increase the soil reinforcement,and increase of friction.This research results is of guiding significance to load-bearing mechanism of reinforced earth and using the geogrid method,and is of important reference value of engineering design and code modify.
