The Research On Mechanism Of Foamed Bitumen And Performance Of Foamed Asphalt Mixtures

Depending on data investigation,theoreties analysis and laboratory test,this thesis discusses asphalt foaming charaeteristic and evaluation method,the nature of raw materials, mix design and performance study.It can improve the theory of this technique and guide material design and construction application in the future.By asphalt foaming test,asphalt foaming characteristic and its effeet factors are studied,what's more,the decline curve and model of foamed asphalt is discussed.It is advised that the type of asphalt,asphalt temperature,foaming water content and foaming water temperature and the use of foaming agent can markedly affect foaming results.This thesis studies mix design and performance.Through the design,arrived at a variety of specific design parameters of asphalt mix.Focusing on the mix design and performance of cold mix,the performance's effeet factors are analyzed,it is considered concrete measures of improving water stability.For other types of foamed asphalt mixture, After analyzing the aggregate temperature,the mixing and forming temperature, the effects of temperature factors on physical properties,mechanical properties,water stability and high temperature stability are studied.At the same time,the thesis compares the performance of foamed asphalt mix and HMA,and analyzes the reasones.After experimental investigation and theoretical analysis,foamed asphalt cold mix can be used for base layer of high grade highway and surface layer of low traffic volume road;foamed asphalt hot and warm mix can replace HMA and can be used for surface layer of high grade highway;but foamed asphalt half-warm mix does not replace HMA.
