Displacement Analysis Of Root Anchorage Foundation For Large Span Suspension Bridge

Domestic and overseas anchorage foundations of suspension bridges are mostly gravity anchorage foundations at present ,such as super large open caisson anchorage foundation , diaphragm wall anchorage foundation , this paper introduces a new simulated anchorage foundation style——Root Anchorage Foundation which is made up of by many rooted-caisson foundations . At the beginning of the paper ,a few of test on super large open caisson anchorage foundation in several Yangtse River bridge is introduced to explain the mechanism of bearing the weight of main cables of suspension bridges .On basis of this , the root anchorage foundation is introduced. On basis of study of Rooted-caisson Foundations, by means of a series of the minor proportion's test of root anchorage foundation and FLAC 3D numerical simulation ,this paper sums up working mechanics and displacement of root anchorage foundation . We find that both the friction at the bottom of anchorage and the passive earth pressure in front of anchorage bear load of cable tension of suspension dridge,which is different from the tradition design theory .All the work of the paper is completed with the help of scientific research group of Root Anchorage Foundation .Scientific research group find that root anchorage foundation scheme is feasible and able to satisfies displacement requirements and bearing capacity requirements of suspension bridge. And the social and economic benefits of root anchorage foundation is better the super large open caisson anchorage foundation. Finally this paper briefly explain key construction technology of Root Caisson Foundation and prove that the construction of one Root Caisson Foundation is convenient and rapid . With the experience of the construction of one Root Caisson Foundation, root anchorage foundation will be successfully constructed . Root anchorage foundation with merit of nimble arrangement and convenient process being under construction will be an excellent kind of anchorage foundation, especially in thick overburden area.
