In recent years, with the development of modern technology , especially the development of national defense projects,more and more attention has been focused on the response of structures to various shock and explosive loadings。The tensile strength is one of the most important mechanical properties of concrete ,it is also a key parameter for strength design and stability analysis of concrete structure。Firstly,the most recent development of investigation on material characteristic under different strain rates of concrete are reviewed,then the experimental technique of the splitting tensile test of SHPB and the key experimental steps are described briefly, and two batches of concrete dynamic splitting tensile results are discussed,the strain rate effect of the splitting strength,and the effect of the steel fiber to the strength of concrete are discussed。Combined with wave separation technology , the validity of the splitting intensity is analyzed,the dynamic tensile damage of concrete performance is measured by the energy dissipation, and the law of energy change dissipation is analyzed。In addition, by using the explicit dynamic finite element software LS-DYNA,Finite element analysis was carried out for the large diameter SHPB set-up ,and then the effects of the procedure of dynamic splitting test are explored and analyzed.
