On the condition of serious distortion of the electrical network signal at present, how to carry on the electric energy measurement has already become a difficulty and the hot topic in the domain of electric energy measurement. The mathematical models of electronic energy meter and induction watt-hour energy meter are established on the basis of analysis of principles and form of two kinds of energy metering and their correctness are verified. Then the theoretical and the power grid for the trend analysis of the voltage sag and flicker signal is studied, based on which energy metering expression is derived. Analysis shows that the existing way of measuring under the distortion is unreasonable, so the use of extracting details of the signal characteristics of wavelet transformation can achieve a reasonable measurement of electrical energy. The simulation results show that this method is correct.
