Energy-loss analysis and the optimization of operation mode are essential basic theoretical work for coal-fired power unit's energy conservation and coal consumption decrease. All-factors-varying energy-loss analysis model based on the overall analysis of unit and initial temperature, initial pressure, reheat temperature and exhaust pressure energy-loss analysis models were established on the basis of the unified physical model and the mathematic model of heat-economic analysis for the coal-fired power unit. With the method of systemic analysis, the mathematical mode is built for selecting optimal initial pressure of the nozzle governing steam turbine. By the method of Fibonacci, the program of initial pressure optimization was developed based on the variable condition calculated model. The best load demarcation point between setting pressure and sliding pressure and the optimal initial steam pressure under different conditions can be obtained, which proposed a new method to optimize operation of the thermal power unit.
