With the increasing size of the power system interconnection, and how to avoid power system develop into large-scale power outages and the collapse of the system as a result of the failure interaction becomes very important. In this paper, gives a method of a quick identification with the transmission section correlation with overload shunt. This method is based on wide area measurement system measured the trend, as well as the distribution of power system topology map to establish a state system, the use of graph theory in a simple matrix operations, quickly identified transmission section which is the most affected by overload shunt, and pointed out the real-time emergency control programs to prevent transmission section cascading trip, Its validity is verified by the calculation result of CEPRI 36 test system.
