At present China's electrified railroad uses the single-phase AC-frequency system, electrification system three-phase power system of two-phase separately through the power supply arm to the electric locomotive power supply, resulting in three-phase voltage imbalance, which has the influence to the system and other loads. Therefore, the right to establish electric railway traction system simulation model and to study the electric railway traction system power supply system in the negative sequence components, for solving problems and improve the negative sequence of great significance.In this paper, PSCAD / EMTDC electromagnetic transient simulation software to establish simulation model of electric railway traction system (including the SS6B of AC-DC locomotive and the CRH2 type of AC-DC-AC locomotive), the model surge by the rectifier circuit, traction motor and thyristor trigger pulse generator have the system constitution. Harmonic detection method using FFT built on the model simulation system to verify its correctness. According to electric traction load generated by the characteristics of the negative sequence current, Traction transformer analysis of negative sequence for their selection with reference value.
