SF6 was a kind of good dielectric gas which was used widely in high voltage apparatus characterizing smaller volume, lower noise pollution, less maintenance costs and so on. With the increasing of the quantity of setup and working time, the malfunction was sometimes come forth. The current diagnose can not satisfy the demand of SF6 electric power transmission. We set up a professional work team cooperation with Chang Chun ultra-high-voltage bureau to study SF6 security examine technique.In the paper, we examined and analyzed the decomposed product of SF6 gathering from high voltage apparatus by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) qualitatively and quantitatively. By comparing the samples from the simulating experiment and actual high voltage current reverser and high voltage circuit breaker, we found that there are multicomponent compounds defining earlier products before decompose into strong corrosive gas. We fond the method to prejudge the decompose extent of SF6 for monitoring the high voltage apparatus working condition, through tracking the componential changing of compounds.Our team created an experiment which can simulate the decompose process of SF6 gas in the high voltage apparatus under different conditions such as various pressures, temperatures, humilities, and energies, collecting lots of useful data for practice application.
