As the expansion of city size, metros have become an important way of public transportation in many large and middle-sized cities. However, the number of subway lines and the amount of traffic are increasing dramatically as the urban population growing. In this situation, the security problem of metro lines has become particularly important. Especially after the "5.12" Great Wenchuan Earthquake, people become more aware that bridges, tunnels and other large public traffic facilities need effective monitoring and timely maintenance in order to avoid significant loss of life and property when disaster strikes. Considering the actual situation of Beijing subway, there is a number of lines, a long distance of mileage, a lot of bridges and tunnels involved and also a huge amount data for these facilities' information. Besides, there will be much increase amount data as the daily maintenance being done. Therefore it needs to design a platform for management and faults analysis of those facilities in Beijing subway by information technology for realizing monitoring metro facilities' condition and presenting maintenance suggestions.The management situation of resource survey data had been investigated at pre-thesis work, including data-saving's format, structure and amount etc. as while as manage flow, method and maintenance rules. The whole needs are summarized from the work above combined with the real network condition in Beijing Subway Operation Corporation. The final goal of this thesis is implementing a platform for recording and querying the metro facilities' information and discovering the faults facilities followed with assistant decision for maintenance after comprehensive analysis based on advanced Management Information System structure and Java Server Pages.This thesis presented a comprehensive platform based on Browser/Server mode. A three layer system structure based on the separation structure opinion had been designed by analyzing the popular web application system along with the thoughts of security and reliability. Some advanced information technologies such as Hibernate etc. were introduced into the system to enhance development efficiency and practicability. Data warehouse was used as the container of data. The interface used SVG in homepage to realize visual navigation query to improving using experience and efficiency.The IDSS (Intelligent Decision Supporting System) and its usage were discussed in this thesis. Firstly, the specific IDSS model for metro resource survey data was presented by researching traditional IDSS. Then Expert System for metro facilities faults diagnosis was established by integrating metro data and maintenance rules. Finally, the core diagnosis progress was implemented through using Drools as rule engine and also user-machine interface was designed to manage the rules and give assistant supporting decision. The essence of those works was analyzing actual condition and designing intelligent diagnosis model flexibly and then implementing the model by computer programming. This was a further step to experiment and explore the practicability of IDSS in real situation.The platform has been running online. All functions are working well and have fulfilled the needs of metro resources survey data management and assistant decision supporting.
