Along with fast popularization of internet, electronic commerce has been in great demand for its convenient, fast and other advantages. However the hypothesized electronic world are unable to replace the substantive business to brings real shopping experience, activity, contact and so on.And the large-scale commercial buildings have played more and more important role in the city, whose exterior public space is not only the organizer of commercial function and activity, but also the important component of the business environment. Gradually, the public spaces replace the traditional city square, becoming the core area of city life and bringing influential effect which can prevent and reduece disaster.The large-scale commercial building's exterior public space is a transition which is between the urban public space and the building space. It prompted the urban public space and the building space for a mutual penetration and integration, inorder to form a continuous, dynamic and organic urban space. It opens to the public of the city and has both inner and outsider features,showing dual properties of urban public space and the building's space.It is one kind of place which provides exchange and activity space for the public.It is a embodiment of user-friendly design which will bring major influence to enhancement of environment which people live in.Under this background, this article researchs on the large-scale commercial building's exterior public space, inorder to realizes a widely harmonious intergration between the large-scale commercial building's exterior public space and urban public space as well as improvement of the urban functions.Firstly, this article's first chapter briefly explains the background , the origin, the significance , the goal ,the content and research technique of the research on the large-scale commercial building's exterior public space .The second chapter is a cognition of the research. Firstly, the chapter explains couples conception concerning about the exterior public space of the large-scale commercial building, and analyses its inner formation and development process, to define the field of research clearly.The third chapter analyses it based on self-characteristic, forms and functions of itself.The fourth chapter analyses it based on the city ,the place and the consumer's behavior psychology to discuss the influent factors of the design of the the large-scale commercial building's exterior public space and establishes a macroscopic - intermediate perspective - microscopic design idea which is both urban design and user-friendly design.The fifth chapter carries on the appraisal, the analysis to the present situation of the large-scale commercial building's exterior public space to summarizes some questions and the insufficiency which provides the reality basis for principle of design and the method summary in the next chapter .The sixth chapter from design angle embarking, summarizes the principle and technique of the large-scale commercial building's exterior public space's design.The seventh chapter makes the analysis and the forecast about the development-trend of the large-scale commercial building's exterior public space .
