Because of its unique advantages, concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) arch bridge is widely used. With its span increasing, the stability problem of CFST arch bridge has become increasingly prominent. Therefore, it is significant and cost a lot that we do researches on stability and ultimate bearing capacity of CFST arch bridge.In this thesis, some research results, on stability and ultimate bearing capacity of CFST arch bridge, done by scholar domestic and abroad, are listed, and related theories are also expounded. Using ANSYS, a large scale finite element analysis software, as a tool, a series of analysis of the Hangzhou Huifeng Bridge, such as geometrically nonlinear buckling analysis and double nonlinear buckling analysis, is done. Effects of the parameters including the ratio of height to span, the line type of the arch rib, the stiffness of the arch rib, the steel percentage in arch rib, the arrangement and shape of transverse braces, on the stability of CFST arch bridge are also analyzed. According to the conclusions, methods of improving the stability and bearing capacity of CFST arch bridge are proposed. The results here in this thesis may be references for further study and appliance of CFST arch bridge.
