Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) can be described as the use of computers to produce information about the ways in which fluids flow in given situations. CFD embraces a variety of technologies including mathematics, computer science, engineering and physics, and these disciplines have to be brought together to provide the means of modeling fluid flows.Small water area twin hull ship (SWATH) is briefly introduced in this paper. There are several methods for hydrodynamic force calculation of SWATH. It includes theoretical analyses, experimental study and numerical simulation. In this paper, the software of CFD is used to simulate the hydrodynamic performance of the SWATH model. The simulation results are compared with the dates of the experiment which have been done. The comparison shows very well.Geometrical model was found by the software of AutoCAD. And then it was imported into the geometry module of CFD. Numerical analysis model was developed using CFD to study the hydrodynamic performance of the SWATH model. The boundary conditions were same as the work environment in the tank. For a fixed Froude number, the trim angle was given of -3°, -1.5°, 0°, 1.5°, 3°. The moment and force were analyzed. The longitudinal moments that are relative to the centroid of water-plane were got of the Froude number including 0.192, 0.384 and 0.538. The results show that, the trim of the bow is increased once there is a longitudinal angle of the bow when the speed is fixed and the longitudinal moment is also increased with the increasing of speed when the longitudinal angle is fixed.
