Study On Configurable Functional Application Of Varlabe Plane Fredoom Mechanism

Variable freedom mechanism(VFM),as a novel mechanism, is a kind of mechanism that the mechanism's degree of freedom (DOF)is more than the number of the input links, but on some condition, it is also a kind of mechanism which has certain motion regulation. The advance of the conception not only bring vital force and enrich the conception to traditional mechanism but also enrich design method. According to different needs, VFM can change its configurable form to adapt variable mission and complete the function, if these functions are completed by conventional mechanism the structure will be very complex. So there is amplitude application foreground by using VFM.This paper focuses on the configurable theories, mechanism action reliability and the character analysis of mechanism and design method on VFM.Based on the structure style of VFM, the configurable theories, mechanism action reliability and the character analysis of mechanism and design method on VFM are studied. According to the theory of mechanism's error analysis, computing method and digital feature about the position error of VFM are discussed. Owning to the applying of the Monte-Carlo method, the mathematic model of mechanism kinematics is established and formulate of mechanism motion reliability is presented based on stress and strength interference model. Also the corrected formulate of mechanism motion reliability is presented based on truncated normal distribution theory; finally, simulation analysis of mechanism motion sequence on the planar multi-DOF mechanism is considered by using ADAMS software, The case provides the important reference for further analyses of the planar VFM by using the software and has some practical value of application. Finally, the character and design method of VFM are summarized. A typical VFM, the crank lever shears, is analyzed to discuss the design theory on VFM.
