Supercapacitors are new energy store devices which developed rapidly recently. Carbon materials are the most important. In this paper, the mesoporous glassy carbon derived form phenolic resin were prepared, and activated time, activated temperature and also pore width were investigated in detail. The influence of the mass of polyethyleneglycol for supercapacitors in KOH were also evaluated.Phenolic resin and Hexamethylenetetramine were mixed in the mass rate 76%:24%, cured at temperatures around 190℃,and then crushed , ground , compacted to a disc, carbonated, activated in flowing CO2 at 900℃.In this paper, activated time such as 0min,60min,80min,90min,100min were investigated. The result showed that it was microporous and lower surface areas, and had 27.0F/g in 1mol/L Et4NBF4/PC without activating in flowed CO2,but it turned with longing the activated time and get the mesoporous glassy carbon.Changing the mess of polyethyleneglycol also inflected theglassy carbon derived from phenolic resin. In this work, the influence of the mess of polyethyleneglycol were studyed. The results showed that using this method,it get microporous glassy carbon, while the surface areas and pore rate and also the performance in aqueous electrolyte were all improved.
