This paper unifies the Baoji—Niubei highway port double-line tunnel project example, take the surrounding rock stability evaluation of highway tunnel as the master line, take the supporting and protecting the surrounding rock stability and the instructing construction as the goal, guaranteed that the surrounding rock stability achieves the specific request of highway project to the tunnel surrounding rock.Adopt a combination of methods of qualitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation, the overall evaluation and partial evaluation, to carry out a systematic study on the stability of the tunnel surrounding rock.This paper reviews and sums up the study situation at home and abroad on the stability of highway tunnel surrounding rock, general discusses the relevant calculation theories of surrounding rock.Start with the impact on stability of surrounding rock from the tunnel engineering geological factors, to carry out the analysis and discussion on the surronding rock deformation and failure mechanism.Take Huai Shuling tunnel as the studying background,apply the determine methods of engineering geology to preliminarily judge the surronding rock stability of Huai Shuling tunnel, come to the surrounding rock stability of Huai Shuling tunnel being in between the bad and unstable status. The method of BQ, Q and RMR are used to classify the surrounding rock in detail and get the conclution that the surrounding rock is mostly V classification.At the same time, base on the surrounding rock classification to simulate the construction process by plane elastic-plastic model, up and down stairs and CRD methods with the whole or strong weathering glutenite of Huai Shuling tunnel, and simulation results are analyzed. Finally, analyse and evaluate the supporting programs in stroke units, the parameters of beam element which this tunnel to take.By above-mentioned surronding rock stability analysis, reaching that the tunnel used in this design at the initial stage of support measures in general are more stable, and the stability of surrounding rock is bad in and out of the hole; through the construction process simulation, ascertain the CRD program is more excellent excavation programs.
