It's crucial issue to elevate the adhesion capacity of train, with the construction of high speed railway in China, especially the implementation of the strategy of high speed and over loading, as well as more and more high-speed EMUs. High-speed EMUs' operation speed is 30 percent higher than the routine ones, and adhesion reduces with the increasing of speed. Accurate and reliable adhesion is essential for operational safety, so it's important to study the adhesion control strategy of high-speed EMUs.This paper builds a simulation platform by MATLAB/Simulink for the study of locomotive adhesion control method. The feasibility of this platform is tested by realizing the anti-Slip/Slide adhesion controls for the mode on complex rail conditions, adopting the basic theory and methods of locomotive adhesion control. The major work of this paper as follows:First, it introduces the domestic and overseas actuality shows adhesion control to engage in a major practical significance.Second, it introduces the basic theory of adhesion control, Anti-Slip/Slide theory and splidpage control method, which provides the rationale for the MATLAB control model's establishment.Third, it introduces the technical characteristic of EMU, detailed describes the structure and various part of performance of Anti-Slip/Slide system of the EMU, and analyzes the characteristic of adhesion and its usage. And then it gives and analyzes the results of the anti-slip/slide text of CRH5 EMU when it traveled.Forth, it builds a model of adhesion control simulation and carry on several groups of simulations, shows that this can successfully suppresses the tendency of wheel slip/slide, enhance the power of traction and confirm the simulation model feasibility. The results of the simulation bring faster regulations and modifications to adhesion control methods. The success of anti-Slip/Slide control on complex rail conditions verifies the model and provides the possibility for questing optimal adhesion control methods. This paper is a foundation for further study of adhesion control methods.
