Failure of parachute and torch separation of candle bombs is a familiar and an important failure in those of Candle Bombs, which directly influences their function. Through solving some Candle Bomb parachute and torch separation failure, this paper analyzes the candle bomb parachute torch separation invalidation tree and calculates whether the design of Candle Bomb system can satisfy the requirement. It also analyzes the two primary factors—the steel wire snapping and surging—which lead to the separation of parachute and torch, then proposes the improvement measure and carries on the experimental confirmation. By controlling the rivet pressing size of the knot, the author will enwrap the joint where the steel wire perforates in polyethylene plastic-pipe, which reduces the rigidity contact between the steel wire and the junction piece, and employ the method of doubling rivet pressing, only to solve some Candle Bomb parachute and torch separation failure and enhance the flare function reliability. The paper can be used for reference in the research and production of Candle Bombs.
