With the quickly development of electrical technology, Space-Time Adaptive Processing(STAP) have been studied in theory for more thirty years, now, it is possible to be applied in project. With high performance in suppressing clutter and jamming, STAP may improve detection performance. Because of its heavy computations, it can hardly be applied in traditional radars directly. To one radar system, it is possible to apply STAP in project by propriety reduced-rank algorithms.The performance of phased array antenna is first introduced in this paper. Introducing the simulation of clutter data, two-dimensional clutter spectrum is analysed by constructing two-dimensional clutter data model.The paper discusses the principle of the STAP algorithm , introduces dimension-reduced approaches in the space domain and time domain. In the space domain, the dimension-reduced in the subarray plane and beam plane is adopted, In the time domain, the dimension-reduced is 3DT. Throgh the simulation, the performance of suppressing clutter is compared and analyzed in detail. The STAP algorithms of dimension-reduced in the space domain have high performance in main clutter and sidelobe suppression and improvements in low speed target detection. Analyzing the characteristic of two-dimensional clutter spectrum in different antenna position, STAP has the high performance in suppressing clutter .Firstly introducing the jam form in complexity electromagnetism environment, and estimate the isolate jam by GIP,SMI and sigal estimate basing characteristic seed special , by simulation, STAP have the effect on the suppressing one sidelobe jammings , the suppressing four sidelobe jammings. When the interference enters from the direction of mainlobe, the suppressing jamming performance of dimension-reduced in element plane will be affected compared with good performance in the disposal of the dimension-reduced in beam plane. In this paper, the infection of the amplitude and phase error of element on the performance of antenna array and dimension-reduced STAP is analyzed, 10 percent amplitude error and six degree phase error are received in the system.Aventually, a summary of the entire paper is conducted, and a look at further advances is given.
