Based on the movable frame bridge fabrication machine MSS62.5 used in the cast-in-place box girder construction of Huang Pu Bridge, some research are carried out onthe wind resistant behavior of long span movable frame bridge fabrication machine.In the introduction part of this paper, a brief instruction about the development course of construction method using movable frame bridge fabrication machine and a detailed instruction about the structure features and construction process of movable frame bridge fabrication machine MSS62.5 are given out. Then, the current research condition of wind engineering, the intention and content of the research on movable frame bridge fabrication machine are present in this paper also.The research effort is carried out in the following steps: according to the dynamic characteristic calculated by general FEA program ANSYS and similarity theory, aeroelastic model is made and wind tunnel test is done after checking dynamic characteristic of aeroelastic model. Then, data of wind tunnel test is analyzed. According to results of wind tunnel test, the wind resistant behavior of the movable frame bridge fabrication machine MSS62.5 is appraised and the wind resistant designment of the machine is to table a proposal; using spectral representation, simulate the fluctuating wind field and carry out buffeting response analysis in time domain; according to static gust factor supplied by Wind-Resistant Design Specification for Highway Bridges and other method, simplified analysis is carried out to the buffeting response of equivalent finite element model. These above three analysis methods present three different results, based on the comparison of the results, a conclusion of wind-resistant performance of long span movable frame bridge fabrication machine and the structures like this kind is obtained.
