With the rapid development of Chinese economic and change of building, there are a lot of waste of building that have been growing day by day, such as waste concrete, waste steel and waste brick. On the one hand it is the amazing expense that was used to deal with these waste of building, and the environment and society are destoried by these waste of building. On the other hand, with adding demand of construction-timber, it is not a good method to use only natural materials. So the recycled concrete based on environment protection and sustaining development has becomed an interesting method. In order to solve these aboved problems, this paper put forward some study of recycled concrete. This paper first studies the physical properties of recycled concrete and nature concrete, and main for the axial compression of the steel tube recycled concrete short columns and the steel tube nature concrete short columns is discussed. On the physical properties, many deferent ingredients of recycled concrete are tried by adjusting concrete mixture ratio including the recycled coarse aggregate, FDN and fly ash. Finally we analyses the three factors that have an effect on the workability and mechanical properties of recycled concrete and hope to find out the best ingredient of recycled concrete .On the structure, the axial compression of the steel tube recycled concrete short columns is experimentally investigated, the failure modes and loading capacity of them are mainly discussed and load- displace and stress-strain curve are described also coMPared with the nature concrete columns. And check some veracity of theory account measure.
