Step-motor is a kind of electromechanical component that is driven in step angle or line displacement by electric pulse signal. Because of having the advantage of easy open-loop control and no accumulating error, step-motor is being applied widely in many fields.With the development of national economy, the gradually improving of people's living standard, and industry automation level further sharpening, the request of accuracy to control system has become higher. Thus the high-performance step-motor driver is needed right now. With the development of microelectronics technology, digital control comes to be highly regarded by engineers. However the IP(Intellectual Property) core specifically for the motor controlling does not exist at present. This has increased the difficulty of driver design, prolonged the cycle of development and decreased stability of system. The dissertation studied the key basis algorithm and technic of step-motor control deeply, and developed IP core of step-motor control.Firstly, by studying the key basic algorithm and technic of step-motor control, the Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer algorithm introduced to step-motor vector control and subdivision control, constructs mathematical model and designs IP core. According to PWM and PI technic, PWM IP core and digital PI IP core is designed. For SPWM frequency conversion control DDS(Direct Digital Synthesizer) is introduced, DDS IP core is designed for step-motor control of frequency conversion.Secondly, test bench is designed for each of those IP cores, in order to accomplish function simulation and timing simulation with Mentor Graphics Company's verification tools ModelSim. The logic function of IP cores is verified by function simulation. And timing simulation verified the validity of IP cores with signal delay. According the analysis the simulation results, IP cores have been optimized and adjusted, and enhanced robustness.FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) of Cyclone II Family of Altera is used to construct a hardware test platform.Finally, a sinusoidal current PWM step-motor driver is accomplished by those IP cores hardware. Use the hardware platform to verify IP cores on system. The experiment results shows that the system works steadily, and those IP cores have good robustness.
