The stability and reinforce treatments of slope engineering are problems which people have paid close attention at all times. Combined with the method of theory and experiment analysis, this paper presents a study of the stability and reinforcement method of the right bank slope of Xiaowan hydro-electric, which has important theoretical meaning and practical value. It can be consulted in the similar engineering design.Firstly, based on site investigations and laboratory experiments, this paper analyses the geology conditions and the selection of physical mechanics parameter of rock and soil of the right bank slope of Xiaowan hydro-electric, which supplies the reference for the following research work.Secondly, based on the analysis and discussion of the influencing factors and failure mode of general rock slope stability, this paper analyses the stability influencing factors, failure mode and instability mechanism of the right bank slope of Xiaowan hydro-electric and evaluates its stability conditions.Lastly, with the 2D rigid equilibrium limit method and EMU program, this paper analyses the stability of the right bank slope of Xiaowan hydro-electric. The optimization method of prestressed anchor cable supporting to the unstable section is used with the consideration of comprehensive facts. And the practice of prestressed anchor cable supporting to rocky slope reinforcement is preliminarily discussed.
