At present, CAD / CAE / CAM technologies for automotive steering system optimization design were widely used in foreign automotive industries, which greatly reduce the periods of the product development and manufacturing, and improve the product quality, reduce the cost of production. In contrast, China's automotive industries still have a big gap, the ability of competition in international is also weak, in light of the domestic auto parts industry as well as the international auto parts industry development, and combining with China's actual situation, pro-measures should be taken to enhance China's auto parts industry's competitiveness. The production process of the 1080 main reducer oil seal in my company is as the research object, the main research contents are as follows:First, based on the ANSYS software, the basic functions and the basic modeling methods were described in details. In light of the concrete structures of the oil seal, the specific methods and steps to create finite element model of the oil seal were analyzed in details.Second, according to the finite element model of the oil seal, modal analysis theory base was studied in detail of lip, which was used to analyze the lip of oil seal, Analysis of the oil seal lip width of the contact, had surplus capacity, spring stiffness, as well as after the oil seal lip on the size of the oil seal lip contact pressure on the size and distribution.Third, according to the finite element analysis of the oil seal, the methods to increase the oil seal performance was obtained. From the main choice of material, improveing the wear resistance, the structural design of fluid, selecting the structure parameters of dust-proof lip and lip to increase oil seal performanceFinally, the proper use of oil seal were listed, Address the issue of oil not only to improve the quality of the oil seal, the development of new oil seal, and related accessories to enhance the quality-oriented assembly process so as to effectively solve the problem. It will greatly enhance the service life of the oil seal.
