With the rapid development of the national economy as well as the gradual formation of the electricity market, power quality problem has attracted wide attention in the power sector and users in many countries. One of the grids, the influence of the growing the non-linear, impulsive load on power quality is becoming more and more seriously. This article did some work on the analysis of power quality disturbances which were caused by the non-linear, impulsive load.Firstly, this article analyzed the power quality issues caused by the non-linear, impulsive load in detail, for these questions, discussed the characteristics of Wavelet Transform and Fast Fourier Transform. Took a combination of Wavelet Transform and Fourier Fourier Transform as the methods of power quality analysis, and expatiated how to apply this method in the field of analysis of voltage fluctuation in detail.Three-phase AC electric arc furnace steel-making is the typical representative of non-linear, impulsive load, this article set up a simulation system of three-phase AC electric arc furnace steel-making as a basis to start on a variety of typical power quality disturbances studies. In the simulation experiment of voltage fluctuations, the difference of the experimental data and in the value calculated with the theoretical value is only 0.7 percent, accorded with the actual system, verify the correctness of the simulation system.Using the method of Wavelet Transform and Fast Fourier Transform in the analysis of the disturbance signal, the perturbation duration and amplitude were obtained by the Wavelet Transform, the signal frequency content was obtained by the Fast Fourier Transform. With the Mallat algorithm's frequency folding problem in the high-frequency part, this paper selected the low-frequency part and high-frequency part where the frequency folding problem was small to carry out the Fast Fourier Transform. The simulation experiment proved that this method is reliable and effective.
